Edge Router Upgrades - London - Fri 12th June

Scheduled for Jun 12, 01:00 - 02:30 BST

Scheduled

To resolve an underlying issue identified by our network vendor and apply security patching, we will be carrying out essential software upgrades on two of our edge routers within our London PoP.

Maintenance is scheduled for Friday 12th June at 01:00 BST (AM)

The upgrades will be performed sequentially, with the second router upgrade commencing only after the first has completed successfully.

As this maintenance is considered essential and urgent, we are providing a shorter notice period than usual.

Customers with dedicated server services located within Telehouse West, East and North2 may experience a brief interruption to connectivity during the maintenance window.

Any service impact is expected to last between approximately 30 seconds and 10 minutes. Historically these upgrades often cause no outage, however in rare cases, a full system reload may be required.

Customers with IP connectivity services delivered in London will experience an outage on respective circuits - BGP sessions will be gracefully drained of traffic.

The expected impact is limited to services with server IDs beginning "TFM240-", "TFM120-", "TFM72-".

The maintenance window has been scheduled for 90 minutes to allow for contingency; however, the anticipated disruption period is expected to be significantly shorter.

We do not expect any customers in Coventry or Manchester to experience any outage by this maintenance.
