Update - Due to repeated failed repair attempts, the fibre provider has confirmed they plan to replace 1000 meters of fibre and expect to proceed with this on the weekend. Access for investigation and repairs is severely delayed due to the fibre running alongside railway tracks.
We do not anticipate any outages to the UKServers network as a result of this fibre break at this time. A further update will be provided when the fibre has been repaired.

To reiterate the current impact of this incident to UKServers customers is: slightly higher latency for traffic that would otherwise usually ingress/egress though Manchester - as peering in the Manchester PoP is shutdown as a precaution.
